2G 3G 4G 5G 6G 7G 8G

My iPhone 6 Plus is running on O2 Business' 3G cellular network - it works for me at the moment as 4G bandwidth does not out way its reliability issues with most of the UK cellular network providers

I would like to see a few reports on the next few generations of the UK cellular networks

2G = Current (OLD)

2G is still used in rural areas where 3G was intended to be rolled out, but this has been cancelled and a 4G rollout has been promised instead of the 3G

What I do hope is that they do not try to get 4G in rural areas instead of towns that would benefit greatly from 4G

3G = Current (OLD)

5G = Future (2017)

Silicon Valley, San Jose, San Francisco, Cupertino - they are all running the 5G network, whether it be public or tests!

6G = Future (2018/2019)

Some companies in Silicon Valley are testing 6G - I would love to get in on the tests with a prototype iPhone!

7G = Future (2019/2020/2021)
