The Solar Computer is Back with More of a Proposal

I have been looking at a few USB spec solar panels that can provide enough power to run up to four Raspberry Pi computers.

I propose the project to be a proof of concept for building a power controller in which it will take the power from the photovoltaic panels, store it in a battery or transform down the voltage to suit the 5V required by a Raspberry Pi.

Expansion Scope

There is a certain amount of this that can be scaled as an expansion, the Raspberry Pi could be replaced with a larger, more powerful computer which would be accompanied by larger batteries & more powerful PV panels.

Other Plans

I do have another plan involving PV panels for generating electricity for use in my data centre cooling system, in which I would like to generate even more energy.

More additions in the future
