Discord communities were crying at the news Discord is in talks to be acquired by Microsoft for $10 B+ Seemingly all happier now Discord is no longer in talks with Microsoft.

Microsoft is upset; gamers rejoice.

Fortunately, Discord did not committed seppuku in the breakup before the relationship got going.

Seemingly in line with Discord's founder's commitment to independence (for now).

Discord may have decided it wants a break before dating other companies.

I thought $10 B was excessive; $5 B would be my valuation. This may rise to $7 B.

It is an interesting time for an acquisition of a major communication platform.

In the next two years, I expect to see Instagram look like it may have to be sold-off or float [away from Facebook].

Discord appears to be flinging new features at a steady rate, especially to Nitro customers.
